International Award for Citizen President Project at Smart City Expo

The "Citizen President" project, which received an award at the Smart City Expo, where 65 cities and 106 projects from 18 countries competed, managed to make its name known on international platforms once again.

At the ceremony held at Barcelona's Museu Nacional d'Art hall, Deputy Mayor Özcan Tokel received Beyoğlu's certificate on behalf of Beyoğlu Municipality, the only finalist from Turkey.

Awards in the City, Project and Innovation-Entrepreneurship Categories from Smart City Expo this year

This year, awards were given in the City, Project and Innovation-Entrepreneurship categories at the Smart City Expo, which is held every year and determines local government trends in the world and establishes global communication channels between local governments. Beyoğlu Municipality became one of the 5 municipalities that were deemed worthy of an award in the City category with its Citizen Mayor.

This year, 6,160 people including 367 speakers, 118 organizations, politicians and professionals from 51 countries attended the Smart City 2012 Fair. Beyoğlu Municipality was one of the notable participants of the fair with its solution-oriented municipal services with a strong social dimension.
