eEnviPer Project Opening Meeting was held on 26-27 April in Thessaloniki, Greece, with the participation of representatives from 11 project partners. The project with a budget of 4.14 million, in which SAMPAŞ and Niğde Municipality from Turkey participated, is expected to last 1 year and 11 months and be completed on 31 March 2012.
Obtaining environmental permits throughout the European continent is necessary for many economic activities to take place. Farming, power plant construction, waste treatment facilities and many manufacturing factories are some of the economic actors that need to obtain environmental permits. But the process of obtaining an environmental permit can often be complex and difficult to execute – for both the party managing the permit process and the party applying for the permit.
In this sense, on the public side; The need for a system that will provide system integration regarding environmental licensing procedures for citizens and commercial institutions and support institutions in modeling and implementing business processes has been identified.
In order to meet this need, the eEnviPer project aims to collect basic operational work on a platform and make it possible to open these services to citizens as an e-service. The eEnviPer project aims to provide the application, management and related consultancy services of environmental permits with the integrated web-based platform it will provide - while making the permit process more transparent, more accessible and more effective in environmental matters.
The architecture of the platform is designed to provide public institutions with the opportunity to create new services and share existing procedures. In the final phase of the project, it is planned to offer digital services to institutions, organizations, consultancy companies and non-governmental organizations with the ability to distribute permissions and authorizations at different levels related to the environment.
