E-government; It means that the duties and services that the state is obliged to perform towards the citizens and the duties and services of the citizens towards the state are carried out mutually in electronic communication and transaction environments, uninterruptedly and securely. In this context, e-government projects should redefine business processes and be accessible to citizens and public employees. Considering these points; TÜSİAD and Turkish Informatics Foundation give the E-Turkey award to successful applications every year.
TÜSİAD and Turkish Informatics Foundation 9th E-Turkey Awards organized by (TBV); It found its owners with a ceremony held at the Turkish Grand National Assembly Ceremony Hall on December 19, 2011. The award winners were determined by electronic voting during the ceremony.
Karasu Municipality was deemed worthy of an award with its project called "Karasu Smart City" in the "Small-Scale Municipalities Category for Local Governments".
It is among the applications that support the modern state approach and embrace transparent and social responsibility principles. Küçükçekmece Municipality won a Special Award with its "Small Gains Project" and Yenimahalle Municipality with its "New Card Project".
At the award ceremony, Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey Cemil Çiçek, Minister of Nationalization, Maritime Affairs and Communications Binali Yıldırım, Minister of Development Binali Yıldırım, TBV Chairman of the Board of Directors Faruk Eczacıbaşı and TÜSİAD Board Member Erman Ilıcak made speeches.
