Modern city information system applications designed for the needs of municipalities were introduced at the SAMPAŞ "Smart Box - Smart Municipality" event held at Ankara Rixos Hotel on Thursday, April 12, with the participation of Chief Executive Officer Şekip Karakaya.
In the 7th eTR Awards competition organized jointly by the Turkish Industrialists' and Businessmen's Association (TÜSİAD) and the Turkish Informatics Foundation (TBV), it won 6 awards, including the 'eMunicipality Special Achievement Award' with its "Smart City Automation System" (AKOS) project. SAMPAŞ Information and Communication Systems Inc. introduced the "Smart Box - Smart Municipality" modern city information system solution, which consolidates all information technology applications of local governments, at the "Smart Box - Smart Municipality" event held in Ankara on Thursday, April 12.
The "Smart Box - Smart Municipality" platform, which includes software compatible with e-government systems, was examined by participating municipalities through SAMPAŞ interactive demos during the event. “Smart Box – Smart Municipality” attracted the attention of the participants with its modern city information systems solutions, especially the Municipal Revenue Management System, which includes applications to increase accruals, the Geographic Information System, which enables decision-making based on real-time information, and Smart Water Management applications, which attracted attention with video presentations.
At the event, where the opportunities and benefits provided by SAMPAŞ modern city information system solutions to municipalities and citizens were explained in detail, the importance of increasing and disseminating the use of the latest technologies in order to make our cities self-sufficient was demonstrated for the development of Turkey.
SAMPAŞ Chief Executive Officer Şekip Karakaya, who attended the event organized by SAMPAŞ Information and Communication Systems with its solution partner ORACLE, said: "Cities that know their problems and solve them permanently will progress and develop first themselves and then our country.
